The Oregon Dental Foundtion added two well known and distinguished Oregonians to its board of directors in May. Victor G. Atiyeh, former governor of Oregon, and Roger L. Pringle, president of the Pringle Company, were elected as non-dentist members for four-year terms on the board of directors.

Atiyeh and Pringle join the board at a crucial time, since the foundation has begun the process of reviewing its mission and strategic vision. "These two new board appointments will further strengthen our board's commitment to increase fund-raising efforts, thus facilitating our ability to provide quality dental care for those in need," said Kenneth R. Berg, DMD, president of the foundation.

Victor G. Atiyeh
Atiyeh served as Oregon's chief executive from 1979 to 1987. A successful businessman, he currently serves on several business and civic boards. Over the years, Atiyeh has won numerous awards and commendations, including the Award for Public Service from the US Department of Justice and the Humanitarian Award from the Migrant & Indian Coalition. He has been presented with three honorary doctoral degrees. Atiyeh thanked the Oregon Dental Foundation for the opportunity to assist the dental profession in its noble charitable efforts. "
